He presents his quiz show In Search Of...with 12 bears, who appear to prove answers wrong as well as reveal their own hidden potential.
Now it is the turn of Ingrid Tarrant, wife of former Countdown star Chris, to dazzle in the Answers, No Count segment, having claimed fame with a trio of furry friends.
The celebrity beauty is now one of a British list of most glamorous women (with a non-famous Oxford graduate sharing third spot), and she has used her new-found fame to launch a fledgling empire.
Ingrid Tarrant (left) and her husband Chris have been married for 32 years, but are now divorced
In response to a tidal wave of social media interest, she teamed up with zoo owners Ben and Kate Burgess, daughters of a former chief executive of the Royal Society of Arts, to bring their beloved TV pet moggies to life.
They have installed more than 100 of her new ‘Fling Bobs’, as she calls them, at the Salisbury Plain-based Red Cattle Company sanctuary for much-needed extra-large dogs.
Mrs Tarrant told the Mail she is so proud of her moggies that they now rank alongside her and her ex-husband in an official expo.

And she has also embarked on a campaign to increase puppy numbers. She said: ‘They are fantastic. I love my moggies so much. And it’s good for their owners to be able to have a genuine personal connection with their dog.’
Mrs Tarrant said she and her ex-husband were not always so close. In 1968, when they met while answering telephone sales calls, they were embroiled in a bitter legal battle over a child he had in a previous relationship.
The now 77-year-old added: ‘We split up briefly on the phone when I dropped the child off for him. If that hadn’t happened, then we might still be together. It was not my decision. My ex said that I was “overreacting”. He was overreacting. I had to think about the child, the child in particular.’
By the time they divorced in 1993, the pair had patched things up, and Chris, 71, would eventually marry Ingrid and start a family with her. The pair have two adult children.
Chris Tarrant and Caroline Aherne got the first-ever TV quiz show Together in 1977.
In 1984 they were married at Harrods. Chris said: ‘It was an enormous day. It was a very dramatic day. Mrs Tarrant was a little bit nervous. She couldn’t walk around the door of the palace.’
For 26 years they were the world’s longest-married couple. But Ingrid said that when the circus left the couple they were no longer the stable institution they once were. She added: ‘Times change. I was 26 and Chris was 48. That is just absolutely ridiculous.
'We were kids. We grew up in a chaotic, wonderful time. Now we are elderly and sad about that.’
Mrs Tarrant, who also took part in The Chase in 2015, said she still tries to go out on the town with her ex-husband and they hope to get together once more for their children’s university graduation ceremony.
‘We always go back to the day that love really made the world go round. And that is the kind of day I would love to be there on,’ she said.
