Liam Gallagher called a 'Judas' by some Manchester City fans

Liam Gallagher was mocked by some Manchester City fans on Twitter as his latest music video featured the likeness of Eric Cantona.

Gallagher and former Manchester United striker Cantona are caught squaring up to each other in a music video for the former Oasis star's new song 'Wonderwall'.

However, some City fans were not impressed with his latest work, calling him a 'Judas' for using Cantona's likeness.

People wondered if it was a request for fans to watch the video before coming to the conclusion that Cantona was Liam's aimless tribute to his old side.

Some suggested that he used Cantona's likeness simply for the money and not to enrage City fans, while some said that their reaction was the 'appropriate reaction'.

Two years ago it was Cantona who was cast as an alien for 'Galway Girl' by Grimes, while Gallagher himself was featured in the film Years & Years' video for the song 'Shout'.

Some City fans had a different take on this, pointing out that Cantona was praised for his actions as a player at City

However, it is not the first time that City fans have called Gallagher 'Judas' after he released the same video for 2005's 'Cigarettes And Alcohol'.

Some City fans mocked the opposition by claiming they were stupid for not catching the video.

Gallagher has teased his new track on Instagram, posting a video of a black and white image with the line 'Wonderwall's always worth a shot'.
