Mother designs toy shop just for her daughter that has fruits and juices

A clever mother has come up with a brilliant way to save money on toys while still providing the latest products for her daughter.

The new one-year-old has a taste for fruit snacks and even eats them before she goes to bed - so Johanna Morsy, a stay-at-home mother of two, invented a soft play area just for her.

She carried out the idea of making her daughter's favorite snacks play toys - fruit snacks, nougat and apple slices - and named it the 'Toy Shoppe'.

Speaking to DailyMail.com Johanna said: 'Little Kiki's love of fruits is part of the reason why we decided to design her own toy shop.

'I'm convinced she would dream up ideas for building her own toy shops with all the goodies she liked to eat. It was a nice long-term solution because I saw she was starting to have a palate for fruit, so I decided to start that off with her favorite snacks.'

The mother added: 'I am very particular when it comes to what toys are suitable for my daughter.

'Before I had her toys started to lie around the house, so I had to figure out where every pack of fruit and veggies was. I'm definitely a fan of having the toys around, not just the multipacks.'

After she came up with the idea to save money on toys, she passed her invention along to her husband Tim, a vice president of a car company.

She said: 'He was very excited about the idea of his daughter having her own toy shop, even if it meant we would spend less on toys.

'We would order items from overseas via online classifieds websites and then ship them to our daughter's house so she could play with them. That's how it started.'

Johanna and her husband live in Pontous, Nebraska, where their daughter goes to preschool.
